“ The second one however is a redpoll, without any shadow of doubt. The more tricky thing is to say which redpoll. My feeling is that it's a Greenland Redpoll ssp rostrata due to the rather low pitch and the coarse timbre of the calls. However, I can only say with 100% certainty that it's a redpoll. This bird is already very far south so perhaps it's not going to migrate any further. It could be somewhere on the Estaca. Better check any Alder or Birch trees in the area in case you find it again.
